Crochet Projects

As a child, I wanted to learn to knit. Being left-handed, however, I had difficulty learning from right-handed knitters.
About ten years ago, I decided I wanted to try again. Instead of knitting, though, I bought a learn-to-crochet book and taught myself.
I made a number of afghans from a pattern in that book.

When I had my son, it was a perfect excuse to start crocheting again. I made a couple of blankets and hats for him, and then I didn't want to stop. That's what prompted me to start an Etsy shop, also called The Best Laid Plans...

I've found that I don't really like to follow patterns when I crochet and would rather make it up as I go along.

Check out what I've made so far!
